This was sent to me by Fred's father, Frederick Stuhr, Sr., in regards to a trust fund which has been established for the benefit of Fred's son Griffin. Griffin lives in South Carolina with his mother Holly, and already is showing interest and talent in art. If you wish to help, here are the details.
To Whom It May Concern,This letter is to inform you of actions I have taken with regard to an educational trust fund for Freddy's son, Griffin. This was done after the Los Angeles production company (U Ground), which Freddy worked with, offered to establish such a fund. Significant interest has also been expressed by friends and family in South Carolina and in California, as well as by JPL co-workers.
Mr. T. Heyward Carter, Jr., a tax attorney in Charleston, S.C., has prepared a trust agreement. Mr. John Rodenberg, a financial advisor in Charleston with Smith Barney, has established a trust account. It was felt appropriate to name me as Trustee, since I am so directly concerned with Griffin's welfare. Establishing the trust in Charleston made the most sense because Griffin lives there with his mother, Holly, and I plan to retire there within the next 5 years. The trust was structured so that contributions would not be subject to gift tax (up to $10K), although contributions are not "tax deductible". A copy of the trust agreement can be made available upon request. Contributions can be mailed directly to Smith Barney for direct deposit in the trust account.
