
Jason Shiga has animation in his blood...his father did background painting for several studios in the Japanese animation industry. But his own work is definately a departure from his father's approach. With a sense of humor not too far removed from that of Gary Larson of "Far Side" fame and that of Bill Plympton, and a crude, rude artistic style which suggests that of Callahan, his "go for the jugular" approach is one that must be seen animated to be entirely appreciated. But one can certainly get a taste for it in these sketches. Warning: this is not for the squeamish.
