Klasky-Csupo is one of the success stories in animation in recent years. Founded by the husband and wife team of Arlene Klasky and Gabor Csupo, the company has shown that a "house style" is no bar to success in the rough-and-tumble business of animation for TV series and commercials...provided of course that people LIKE your "house style."

Duckman, a cartoon sitcom created by Everett Peck and developed by the Moonlighting writing team of Reno and Osborne, is one of their success stories. A third season is, at the time of this writing, being produced for USA Network. K-C also produce Santo Bugito for CBS, AAAAHH! Real Monsters for Nickelodeon (whose parent company, Viacom, has bought partial interest in the studio) and occasional Edith Ann specials for Lily Tomlin's production company. Their output also includes the "Nacho and Dog" series of commercials for Taco Bell.

But K-C's big success story has been Rugrats, which they produced 65 episodes of for Nickelodeon. Although out of production since 1993, the mildly satirical and just slightly subversive cartoon continues to be a favorite with Nick's audience, a status it achieved once the third season of Ren & Stimpy began airing in 1993. Currently plans are in the works to bring the toddlers to the Big Screen through Paramount subsidiary Nickelodeon Films, and of course Christine Cavanaugh, the voice of Babe the pig in the Oscar® nominated movie of the same name, got her big break as the voice of Chuckie Finster, the timorous friend of the adventurous 1-year-old Tommy Pickles.
These vivid murals are visible for blocks around...they are colorful and certainly worth looking at despite the fact that they are on a medium gray background...what were they thinking when coming up with that color scheme??? Not shown is a mural featuring the Real Monsters creatures.
Admission: Free to look at the murals. However like Hanna-Barbera I don't think they'd allow people off the street to come in and look around. However, Arlene Klasky and Gabor Csupo also run a cafe/book and record store/performance space called Lumpy Gravy. Lumpy Gravy is open to the public and within easy driving distance of Klasky-Csupo.
