The Snow White Cafe

This coffee shop, according to the management, was opened by Walt Disney in 1936. The story goes that Disney couldn't find a decent cup of coffee, in his opinion, on the rare occasions he ventured into Hollywood from his studio complex on Hyperion Avenue several miles away. Disney's solution to the Java blues? He opened his own coffee shop.

The coffee shop is decorated with murals, most reproductions of the originals, but one remains of the original murals. Behind the counter is another remnant of the original decor of the restaurant: a beautiful frosted glass mirror depicting Snow White with her little bird friends.

The menu is pretty average coffee shop fare for fairly average prices. Not a tourist trap, but not a bargain either. Certainly better than Disneyland prices, though.
Other points of interest in the area: Hollywood Wax Museum, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum, Guinness Museum, Chinese Theatre, El Capitan Theatre, Walk Of Fame, Cheesy Hollywood Gift Shops.
Admission: free, but no doubt they'll want you to buy some food once there.
