Smashing Ideas Animation was founded in 1996 by three Seattleites, Evan Clarrissimeaux, Glenn Thomas and Ben Yenter, with backgrounds in animation, multimedia, and internet commerce. Smashing Ideas is perhaps the world's FIRST animation studio dedicated (almost completely) to Internet Animation. The three met working together on a public service announcement for Seattle non-profit, Childhaven. After quitting their jobs to start the company, working out of a basement and starving for a year, work finally started coming through the door. Smashing Ideas is steadily growing and has moved to a new studio in an old candy factory with a beautiful view of Seattle's Lake Union.
Smashing Ideas currently produces some of the greatest cartoon titles ever for the internet, if they say so themselves.
